Undergraduate Orientation

Hi everyone! My name is Emma, and I'm from Miami. I transferred to Brown from Colby College in Fall 2022, and I am currently a rising junior. I'm concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience and pursuing a certificate in Intercultural Competence. Outside of classes and TRUE life, I'm a part of BRYTE, BWell, a photographer for F@B, and I spend every Friday night at Hillel! In my free time, I'm probably hanging out on the Main Green, at the Blue Room (best sandwiches), exploring Providence and finding new coffee shops to work in (my favorite cute place to go is Plant City), or going to a concert. 

The TRUE community is really special -- it provides an amazing group of people to be with from the moment you arrive on campus, and it's easy to connect when you're going through the same experience! It's important to not stress about feeling new. You will become friends with other transfers, and you will meet non-transfers. You don’t need to force either of these things to happen. Just be friendly, hang out with new people, and you will find the best friends in both communities.
