Undergraduate Orientation

You’re In! Here’s What Comes Next.

Now that you’ve been admitted to Brown, follow these initial steps to prepare for arrival.

Congratulations again on your admission to Brown University’s Class of 2025! Below are a few of the first actions you should take as you look ahead to joining the Brown community this fall.

First Things First

  1. Close the loop on your high school records. Ensure your counselor submits the Final School Report and final transcript as soon as they are available. These documents may be submitted to us through the Common Application website. It is your responsibility to ensure this is completed by your counselor.
  2. If you’re submitting test scores, send them. If you have not already done so, please contact the College Board or the American College Testing Service to have your scores released and sent to Brown. We cannot accept score reports from you, but we will accept them from your high school counselor. You may ask your counselor to send us a screenshot of your test dates and scores, either as an email or fax to 401-863-9300.
  3. Now that you have committed to Brown, please remember to notify colleges/universities to which you’ve been admitted that you have selected another institution.

Set Up Your Brown Email Account

Beginning in early summer, the College will email you regularly — only at your Brown account —  with important information about course offerings and lotteries, academic advising and campus life. Please activate your Brown account as soon as possible. You will need your BrownID, which was sent to you via email following your enrollment. If you experience issues, call the IT Service Center at 401-863-4357 for assistance.
