Biography

Hi everyone! My name is Megan and I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I transferred from UCLA last year and am a junior studying neuroscience on the pre-med track. 🧠 However, I'm also very interested in other subjects ranging from classics to the history of art.

Outside of classes, you'll find me competing in quizbowl tournaments around the Northeast and copy editing for the Brown Daily Herald. Most of the time though, I'll be volunteering in a research lab that I joined last year. I'm also a self-proclaimed caffeine addict and I'd be happy to share Ceremony drink recs.

Adjusting to a new college environment can be challenging and as a TRUE student you may feel like you need to "catch up" since we have less time at Brown. However, it is so important to take breaks and connect with people. Taking things one day at a time is a mindset that I have adopted to avoid feeling overwhelmed. There are so many resources to help you at Brown such as the TRUE team, faculty advisors, and your peers.

Feel free to reach out to me at __megan.wang or megan_wang2@brown.edu any time if you want to talk, and I can't wait to meet all of you at orientation!
