Susi Abboud
Assistant Director of Student ExperienceSusi (she/they) joined Brown University's Division of Campus Life in April of 2024, and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Experience. In this role, Susi supports the planning and facilitation of summer onboarding for new students, Orientation, Weeks of Welcome, and the Bruno Fellow and Bruno Leader student leadership programs. Susi's previous higher education experiences in Disability Advocacy, Greek Life, and Student Activities inform her approach to creating accessible and inclusive environments for all students to achieve a deep sense of belonging at Brown.
Fun facts about Susi include: she is fluent in American Sign Language, she has two orange cats, and she is Lebanese. Susi enjoys a great cup of coffee or latte, and she can often be found patronizing Providence's finest cafes and coffee shops.

Mary C. Jordan
Director of Student ExperienceAs the inaugural Director of Student Experience, Dr. Mary Jordan leads Brown University’s orientation and transition programs and collaborates across the Division of Campus Life to deliver a cohesive, data-informed, and evidence-based student experience.
Before joining the Brown University community, Mary served as an assistant professor of social and behavioral sciences at Santa Fe College, where she taught and studied organizational leadership, global career development, college success, learning mindsets, and equitable student success outcomes. Mary also continues to teach and advise graduate students in the University of Florida’s College of Education.
Mary’s favorite part of her work is partnering with Brown’s brilliant, diverse, and creative students to build a campus community where every student feels a deep sense of belonging and has the opportunity to thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, knitting, reading, and solving Sudoku puzzles.

Alexa Potamianos
Graduate InternAlexa is a second year graduate student pursuing a masters degree in College Student Personnel at the University of Rhode Island, and a practicum student intern for Brown's New Student Orientation. In this role, she especially enjoys working with the Bruno Fellows & Bruno Leaders, and helping them make connections between their leadership roles and their life and career goals.
At URI, Alexa is the graduate assistant for the Center for Student Leadership Development where she supports key programs such as Day of Leadership and Leadership Institute. In addition to programming, she instructs an introductory course in the interdisciplinary Leadership Studies minor. Throughout her journey in the CSP program, Alexa interned with Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services to learn more about prevention and reaction efforts.
This past summer, Alexa served as a NODA intern at Syracuse University working with their New Student Programs on the pilot of their summer orientation program. Outside of grad school, Alexa enjoys exploring Rhode Island beaches and trying new restaurants and coffee shops around the state.
