Undergraduate Orientation

Hey y'all! My name is Chip Mindich and I am a rising junior from Needham, MA studying Sustainable Development & Governance and Economics. I transferred to Brown in Fall 2024 from Colby College. I am on the board for Brown Concert Agency as well as a member of the Brown Club Baseball team where I also manage our social media! Outside of Brown, I'm super into skiing, hiking, and going to concerts (I'm a big fan of crunchy granola indie music if it wasn't obvious already). One piece of advice that I have for incoming TRUE students is to join as many clubs, student groups, etc. as possible. I did more in my first two weeks at Brown than I ever did at my previous school or even in high school and it made the adjustment to life here so much easier. It sounds obvious, but talking to as many people as you can and being open to a wide variety of clubs and activities is how you find the fun, diverse, and welcoming community that Brown is known for. Can't wait to meet everyone and show you what Brown has to offer!
