TRUE Experience Leader for Orientation

Biography

Hi everyone! My name is Elsa, and I’m a rising senior studying English and Music. I’m from Santa Monica, CA and transferred to Brown from Wesleyan in Fall 2024.

At Brown, I’m a Managing Editor for Sole Magazine, a flutist in the Jazz Big Band and the Applied Music Program, a tutor through the Partnership for Adult Learning, and a member of Planned Parenthood Advocates. I’ve also been working for the past year at an EdTech startup that focuses on improving learning disability evaluations in schools. In my free time, I love to craft, write, ski, travel, and play music!

My advice to any new TRUE student would be to be patient with (and proud of!) yourself. It takes real courage and work to uproot—know that you’re capable, deserving of your place here, and joining an amazing community on campus through TRUE.

Please reach out with any and all questions! So excited to meet everyone.
