Biography
Hey everyone! My name is Jessica, and I'm a RUE student that came to Brown in the fall of 2024. Prior to coming to Brown, I was a competitive figure skater on Team USA and spent seven years after high school touring with Disney on Ice! I plan to concentrate in Psychology, but am also still debating some double concentrations and certificates — thank goodness for the open curriculum for allowing me to keep exploring my options!
Outside of the classroom, I'm involved in several clubs and activities, but here are some of my favorites: I'm the Copy Chief for "post-" (a creative nonfiction magazine), serve on the Outreach and Supplies branches of Housing Opportunities for People Everywhere (HOPE), and work with Fiction for Kids as an editor and audiobook narrator.
My biggest piece of advice for incoming TRUEs is to take advantage of every event and opportunity — especially during Orientation! Orientation is full of so many fun and informative events, and is also the place to get to know the awesome members of our community!
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, and I can't wait to meet you soon! :)
