Undergraduate Orientation

Hi! I'm Sarkis (but you can call me Sako!), a rising 5th-year in the Brown | RISD Dual Degree Program. I'm from Los Angeles, CA, and I study Interior Architecture and Urban Studies with a minor in Literary Arts and Studies. Entering the world of higher education as a student born to first-generation Armenian immigrants who didn't know the ins and outs of the American university system was many things at once: intimidating, exciting, challenging, satisfying, and, at times, very existential. I'm happy to lead the First-Gen Track this year to support this momentous life transition for you all as you make Brown your home away from home.
