Undergraduate Orientation

Hey!! My name is Sami, and I'm super excited to be your advisor! I'm a Fall 2024 Junior transfer, and I'm concentrating in Computer Science — super interested (and involved!) in NLP / AI fairness research. I'm also really interested in startups, and I organized an AI startup conference this past Spring! Outside all the academic stuff, if I'm not running around campus or at the gym, you'll find me on the courts playing tennis or loosing at spikeball on the main green. Golden advice I got from another True Advisor: don't hesitate to talk to friends of friends and grab lunch with random people you find cool! It's the best way to meet new people, and that's how I met some of my best friends at Brown!
